Acid red 299 CAS# 12220-29-0 is a diazo dye with the appearance of brownish red powder. Water soluble. It is olive in concentrated sulfuric acid. The water solution shows reddish color.
Mainly used in the dyeing and printing of wool, silk and nylon/polyamide. And can also be used in the dyeing of leather.
pH 4.5-5.5 recommended for the dyeing of wool; pH 4.0-5.0 recommended for the dyeing of nylon/polyamide.
